GurNaalIshMitha: A Chandigarh Wedding Full of Heart & Heritage

When childhood sweethearts Gurmehak Brar and Ishan Vijh decided to tie the knot, they returned to their roots in Chandigarh for a 4-day celebration that seamlessly blended tradition, elegance, and soul. Their wedding, which beautifully captured the essence of Punjabi culture with a contemporary twist, was even featured in Vogue India—a testament to its style, spirit, and unforgettable moments. From intimate rituals to grand musical nights, each event was lovingly planned and styled by us at Peerzada Farms and other picturesque locations across the city.

Sufi Soirée & The Ring Sparkle

The festivities began with a stunning Sufi Night & Engagement at Baikunt Farms. A serene palette of ivory, gold, and twinkling candles set the tone, while the legendary Wadali Brothers transported guests with their soul-stirring melodies. Gurmehak and Ishan made a royal entrance, welcomed by Sufi dancers and the aroma of Kashmiri Kahwa—marking a soulful beginning to the wedding.

Sunshine & Song – Haldi at Home

The next morning brought cheerful, home-style Haldi ceremonies. Amid laughter, tappe, and dhol beats, the bride and groom were lovingly adorned with haldi in the presence of close family. Rajia Sultan’s soft vocals added a musical touch to this cozy and colorful affair.

Moroccan Mehendi Magic

Day three brought the buzz of a Marrakesh-inspired Mehendi. Think vibrant tents, flowing carpets, and a lantern-laden tree under which Gurmehak got her mehendi done. From bangle-making to potli stalls and nostalgic chaat corners, every element evoked festivity and fun. Rajia Sultan and DJ Dhol kept the energy high, while Pavleen Gujral engaged guests with her lively hosting. It was a true feast of color, culture, and joy.

A Spiritual Farewell – Anand Karaj & Celebration

The wedding day began with a serene Anand Karaj, inspired by Kashmiri aesthetics—mint greens, apple reds, and fresh florals framed the ceremony beautifully. Gurmehak’s emotional phoolon ki chaadar entry was a moment to remember. After the vows, the celebration turned electric with Khushboo Grewal’s folk performance and a lively dance floor.

Inspired by Shiva and Parvati, the wedding ceremony was spiritual and majestic. Mouli threads wrapped trees, trishulslined the aisle, and bells echoed softly in the breeze. The highlight: a magnificent 3D Ganesha made of golden bells—a perfect start to forever.
